Happy April Fools Day to all of the self-proclaimed pranksters out there! Did you know that this tradition of “fooling” others dates back many centuries? Beginning in the 1500s, this day gained mainstream popularity in 18th century Britain by people pulling harmless jokes on each other. In modern time, people have gone to the extreme of pulling more elaborate pranks. So, whatever you decide to do today, keep it light and in good fun! Happy April Fools!

Spring is Here!

Wednesday marks the Spring Equinox, representing the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. As the weather slowly gets warmer, the days get longer and sunsets later. St. Patrick’s Day

Later this week, many people will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Do you know why people wear green on this Irish holiday? Legend has it that if you’re wearing the color green, leprechauns won’t be able to see you. If they can’t see you, they can’t pinch you. So, the question remains…will you wear green on Sunday and avoid a pinch?

Valentine’s Day

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day?  Many choose to celebrate this popularly coined “Hallmark Holiday” by getting together with a spouse or significant other and enjoying a romantic meal paired with some bubbly. Not currently paired up?  No problem!  Valentine’s Day or “Galentine’s Day” can be a great excuse to gather up your gal or guy friends (perhaps both) and have a fun dinner party, night of pampering or casual movie night.  However you chose to celebrate, we wish you a very happy “hearts day” to you and yours!

Cold Weather Family Fun

‘Tis the season of colder weather! When it just feels better to stay indoors, we have some suggestions for some family fun to be had at home! From movie nights, reading a new book, learning to cook a fun meal, teaching your dog a new trick, and channeling your inner Picasso through art to playing board games, tackling a puzzle, absorbing new skills and building pillow forts, fun can definitely be had by all. Football Season

Commencing the weekend after Labor Day, the National Football League’s season runs through December or early January depending on playoff games. This season marks a special time to enjoy over 250+ football games with family and friends and partake in one of America’s favorite pastimes. While many prefer to stay home to watch the game, others travel all over the country to take part in their favorite teams dominating the field.
